Suspended Cricket South Africa CEO Gerald Majola is taking his bosses as well as president Jacob Zuma and Sports Minister Fikile Mbalula to court in an attempt to get his position back.
Cricket South Africa (CSA) chief executive Gerald Majola should face possible criminal charges and be suspended for accepting and distributing unauthorised bonuses, an inquiry committee set up by the government recommended on Friday.
The South African government could deregister Cricket South Africa and withhold funding if it refused to accept the findings of an inquiry into its financial affairs, the chief of the probe panel said on Thursday.
Cricket South Africa executives could have been getting 'unauthorised' bonuses even before receiving the controversial payments for hosting IPL's 2009 season currently the subject of an inquiry ordered by Sports Minister Fikile Mbalula, a former CSA Board member has claimed.
